Vegetable Melanin
This ingredient is derived from the brown fruit of the date palm. It is a strong water-soluble antioxidant with free radical scavenging properties. It functions as a protective UV filter helping prevent harmful cell damage.
Jackfruit
As well as high levels of Vitamin C the jackfruit, a species of tree in the fig, mulberry and breadfruit family, contains natural Vitamin A. Vitamin A has high anti-oxidant properties that help protect against wrinkle-causing free radicals. Jackfruit also contains other nutrients with anti-aging properties serving as free-radical blockers to help prevent cell degeneration.
Probiotic Peptide
Derived from Lactobacillus. Helps improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation through balance of eumelanin and pheomelanin – two distinct types of melanin pigments we produce.
Licorice
Licorice helps in the fading of hyperpigmentation and sun damage for all skin tones by blocking melanin formation safely. It can diminish the appearance of dark circles under the eye, discolouration and age spots, leaving the skin brighter, hydrated and clearer.
Lemon Peel Ferment
Lemon is traditionally used to lighten hair and skin colour. During the fermentation process valuable chemicals are extracted from the lemon peel as a natural and effective way to prevent tyrosinase production; enzymes that produce the pigment in melanin.
