Hi, guys, it's Jodie from Homepeel, Australia's favourite cosmeceutical grade natural skincare company. I'm 50, I do all my videos without any makeup on or filters, and I'm all about education, all about doing educational videos. So what I want to talk about today is a question that I get so often and it kind of makes sense why I get it, but I get a lot of my customers coming to me asking what they can give their young ones when they start having pimples and acne. And that just makes sense because it means that they've obviously connected to Homepeel and they love it and they want to know how they can help their kids with it.
So I'm just going to do a quick video on that right now. Okay? The first thing I want to talk about is these. And I remember being that young child myself. They generally have very oily skin, so their first instinct is to strip the oils out. And just they think that if I just stop it from being oily and I cleanse, cleanse, cleanse, scrub, scrub, scrub, none of the pimples are going to actually come up. But that's actually the opposite of what happens. Basically, by overstripping the skin, you're accelerating the skin's sebum. So sebum is the skin's natural oils. So if you're stripping the skin from its natural oils, it's going into overdrive and quickly trying to replace it all the time. And when you do that, when you get overactive sebum glands going crazy, it's going to get caught up in little bits of dirt in the pores and it's going to start creating some congestion and you're making the problem worse. So what you want to do is you want to find a really nice balance, a balance of having the skin clean and having those particles on top of the skin stripped away so they're not going to get caught up in the pores and just to go back.
So it's the particles and the dirt on top of the skin and dead skin cells getting caught in the actual pores is what's going to cause congestion, which may look like pimples or may look like blackheads. It's not that simple. It can be a few different reasons, but that's just one of the things. And this is what I'm going to be talking about today. So it's about keeping the surface of the skin nice and clean, but not overstripping.
So let's go through a few things. So obviously our enzyme gel cleanser, which all of our clients are using already, it's incredible. It has enzymatic properties based coming from pineapple and papaya. So what that means is it actually chomps away dead skin cells rather than stripping. So it eats dead skin cell. It's amazing. So that can be used day and night. So that is the first thing. And then two to three times per week, you'll add the exfoliating crystals to it. So I'll just show you this. So these crystals turn I've just gone overboard there. Turns the gel cleanser into a scrub. And these have very fine particles. So just sort of see that. There so often exfoliators on the market, have these giant particles that basically create these micro tears in your skin and it's a disaster. So you need to have a very fine powder which kind of polishes off these dead skin cells. And only twice a week, really, that's sort of what I find is the best frequency of use for almost everybody. Any more than that, you're overstripping. So twice a week. So you're exfoliating. So you're cleansing twice a day in most cases and you're exfoliating twice a week. Okay.
The other thing that is a really great thing to use is our Fortnightly Fruit Peel. So this can be done every two weeks. It has no downtime, so you add it with a strawberry. It comes with this incredible little fan brush. You mix it up. If you want to find out more information about that, go to our website under Fortnightly Fruit Peel and there's a full tutorial about that. But basically, it removes a layer of the stratum corneum, which is the dead skin cell that sits on top of the face like a mask. And every two weeks you're removing a layer of that. And that's just so amazing at keeping those dead skin cells away, which can stop the congestion from happening.
So I highly recommend that another thing to use would be our Brightening B3 serum because that has niacinamide. It's really popular with the adults because of the brightening and the pigmentation, but it's really great for oil control and pores. So that is a fantastic serum for the kids to be using. And I quite often talk about how serums need to be finished off with a moisturiser, because serums aren't moisturising, they're more like correctors, but the young ones may not need that because they don't always need a moisturiser. If their skin is already quite oily, it's already self moisturised. So don't go adding other moisturisers to their skin if it's not needed. It's just not necessary.
The other thing is a really great suggestion is our illuminating clay mask, the pink clay mask. Just show it to you here. So there's a tutorial on this on our website as well, but that's basically going to do like a steam clean of the pores. So maybe once a week or once every two weeks. All the ladies and the men who use home peel love it. It's just fantastic for that deep steam of the pores. But don't overuse it. It's very brightening, it's gorgeous. Clay is fantastic for that. Clay masks are fantastic for pimples and acne. I think most people understand that. I think that's about it.
The only other thing I want to talk about is diet. I have found I'm not a nutritionist, so I'm not giving food or nutritional advice, but I have been doing this for about 17 years, and in that time, I've found that getting off dairy makes a huge difference. So if you want to try that out so no cheese, milk, yoghurt, cheezels, you have to look at the ingredients of things because there's milk powder in that, really. Maybe do it properly for about three weeks and see if that makes a difference. There's so many amazing dairy free options out there. And if you want any tips on that, just get to homepeel.com.au and ask us.
That's what we're here for. That's what our skincare coaches are here for. We're here for the Holistic solution to help you holistically getting your skin to everyone's. Skin on track is more than just buying a product and never speaking to the brand that you bought it from. Again, it's about holding their hand and having, like, personalised service. That's what we do here. So try and get off dairy for three or four weeks, see if that makes a difference. And the other thing is to bring celery juice protocol into their diet. It's quite a big thing, but do a search on Instagram that #celeryjuiceheals and you'll see like thousands and thousands and thousands of posts that people put up doing before and after shots of their miracle healing with celery juice. And a lot of it is to do with skin. So you might want to cheque that out. And that's good for everybody, for everything. I've been doing celery juice for about six years, and I'm sure that it is the secret, the main secret to my success in terms of my energy and all of that. Like, I just can't live without it. That's it from me. If you have any further questions, you can email us at skincarecoach@homepeel.com.au Have a really great day. Bye.
